Instagram Help

It occurred to me one day as I was explaining to my Mom, via phone call, how to find my recipe links through an Instagram profile - that there may be more users who don’t fully understand how Instagram works. Below is a quick rundown on the different content and features I post to Instagram as well as a step by step explanation of how to get to my site through Instagram.

Acess new recipe link

If you primarily check for new recipes from Kate’s Kitchen Online via Instagram, you may have noticed that every time I post a photo of a new recipe to my newsfeed, the caption reads, “Recipe Link in Bio” or “Link in Bio”.

You can’t simply have a link in an Instagram post, so users need to go to the @kateskitchneonline profile, where there is a clickable blue link in the profile description.

Instagram stories

Instagram has a Story feature where you can post images or videos which can be viewed for 24 hours after they are posted. These Stories can be accessed by clicking on the @kateskitchenonline profile picture. When there’s a new story post, the profile picture will have a coloured ring around it so that you know there is new content to be seen (as you can see in the picture to the left).
